Workshop Highlights

  • This workshop is designed for supervisors and managers that have responsibility for overseeing assessments, investigations and root cause analysis, as well as executive leadership teams that want to improve their organization's critical thinking and problem-solving culture. 

  • In this 2-hour online training, managers are introduced to the BlueDragon HCA approach: a modern, lean and agile methodology that identifies the deepest-seated causes of the most complex human-centric problems with amazing speed and accuracy.  BlueDragon HCA is an invaluable part of Corrective Action and Performance Improvement Programs.

  • The attributes of BlueDragon HCA will be highlighted using case studies of near fatalities, equipment failures, organizational and programmatic breakdowns, and most importantly, how it was used proactively in analyzing a negative performance trend.

  • The workshop will address the best way for managers to support team members conducting BlueDragon HCA, including how to avoid the tendency to steer (highjack) the investigations.

  • We also discuss how the Executive Leadership Team can enable a culture shift in their organization’s problem-solving culture through the implementation of BlueDragon HCA.

  • Introduction to Hyper-Integrated Causal Analysis; the most efficient RCA methodology in the industry;

  • Examples of BlueDragon HCA in action and Return on Investment; how BlueDragon root cause analyses can be completed in less than one week with proper management support;

  • Management do's and don'ts when interfacing with BlueDragon teams.

Virtual Platforms / Requirements

  • Virtual workshops are conducted in Zoom or WebEx.  In addition, you will be introduced to Mural, a powerful and easy to use virtual whiteboard.  These two platforms have made it possible to deliver virtual classes with the same or better results than live workshops. 

  • The use of Mural, our virtual whiteboard, has made it much easier to conduct assessments, investigations and root cause analysis when we cannot conduct meetings in person. 

  • Prior to the start of class, you will be provided pre-workshop instructions on how to use Zoom/WebEx, and a link to a practice Mural so you can get acquainted with the virtual whiteboard.   

  • Because this is an all virtual workshop, participants are required to have a webcam and microphone and be able to access Zoom/WebEx and Mural through the internet. 

  • Internet download speeds greater than 30 Mbps are highly recommended.

Q: Will I receive continuing education hours for the workshop? 

Yes.  We are a PMI Registered Education Provider and this workshop is registered with PMI.  Participants that successfully complete the BD-202E workshop will obtain 3 contact hours that are applicable to Project Management Professionals and other professional education requirements. The contact hours will be listed on the Certificate of Completion.   

 

Q: How long does it take to receive the Certificate of Completion? 

Certificates are emailed within 48 hours of receipt of the Workshop Evaluation Form. 

 

Q: What do I have to do to complete the workshop successfully? 

You need to attend the complete workshop and turn in the Workshop Evaluation Form. 

 

Q: What happens if I have technical difficulties watching or hearing the online workshop?

You will receive a free pass (voucher) good for the same workshop the next time it is presented. If you have trouble with the audio, we recommend you using the call-in option.
